I read it on the plane to Breckenridge, good quick read and surprisingly good for all the stories wound into it.

Travels In The Scriptorium. It went no where!!!! and I kept reading it thinking it had to have some point, but no.

As for authors writing themselves in, what think you of Mr. King writing himself into the Dark Tower? I didn’t really think it would work at first but he did it in such a self loathing way, I didn’t really mind.
