1. Obsidian rules. Though you say you find rocks boring. Want some obsidian that doesn’t have big signs next to it about not taking it? The Glass Buttes on Hwy. 20 east of Brothers, Ore. Large area (should be noted on your handy-dandy Benchmark map), several square miles at least. Obsidian everywhere. BLM land, partially, which means you can take a few pieces w/o consequence.
2. Fort Rock rules. It used to be an island and is (near) the site of the oldest human artifacts ever found in Oregon!
3. The fire/back photo rules.
4. I’m so glad you had a wonderful time. That rules, too.
