typical hilarious Sedaris. essays about various and sundry, most notably his journey to be “finished” smoking, which takes him to (of all places) Japan.laugh out loud funny in many places, his voice is so distinct i literally hear him speaking inside my head as i read along. i heard a few of these stories at a reading i attended back in October, but there were plenty of new elements to keep them fresh and funny nevertheless.

tore through this one in less than a day, but it left me satisfied.
